Scary weather!
The Facebook posts and pictures of yesterdays tornadoes in Emory, Canton and Mineola are very sad. It's pretty scary when you live in McKinney and watch the news to see that the storms are headed straight to the small town that I grew up in (Emory in Rains County) and that Mom and many relatives still live there! She was texting me from the shower. She and Bill were in there with her tablet, his book, pillows and blankets. There was a brief delay in her responses as I watched the news of it hitting there, but luckily they were okay. My niece, Morgan Johnson, was in a storm shelter in Sulphur Springs with 36 of her patients. I've not heard of any deaths in Emory, but just read that there were 5 confirmed in Canton, and they are still searching. A Dodge Chrysler Jeep dealership on I-20 was hit and there are pictures of new vehicles tossed around like a hot wheel, but they are mangled. Saw one extended cab truck where the doors were peeled backwards. It is also "Canton Weekend" so there were a lot of people in that town that would not normally be there.

Welcome to my new blog! Day 1
Hello and Welcome to my Blog!
Happy that you have found me and hope that you will follow! My goal for 2017 was to find something that took me out of my comfort zone. Something that could be my own and I would make as little or as much as I wanted out of it.
Two weeks ago I joined SeneGence as an Independent Distributor of make up, including LipSense lipstick, and skin care products. This blog will not be all about make up, or lipstick or skin care. I am 51 years old and do not know much about "beauty" at all. I have, however, started taking better care of my skin in the past couple years. Nothing like waiting until you are FIFTY to start! I'd like to use the blog as a place to cover various things. That might be a restaurant experience, a new dishwasher detergent, blogs that I like and follow, such as search for "50 is not Old". (see link under Blogs I follow to the right) The author is awesome, she posts about fashion, including pictures and web site you can buy things, and her insight has challenged me to not wear black all the time. She also sells jewelry and and another skin product. I may branch out to more items offered in the future....have to get this lipstick gig down first! Also want to venture into the wedding business somehow. Not sure what that will be, but more to come in the future. A friend from high school is building a venue in Emory, Texas called The Wildflower. It's on 25 areas and has Dolly Lama as a resident at this time. Hope to review ti someday when it's finished. My niece Morgan has an Etsy site that has various printed items. Check it out Shirts and Mo. She made me a cute shirt for Easter. There is also a great shop in Emory called Thrifty Chicks. Jodi has a lot of antiques as well as a boutique and jewelry. And I must mention the sweet shop, the mini cheesecakes are awesome! It's worth a visit if you are ever in the area. It's right off the square in downtown....which you can't miss. I'll get more info on all and post in the future.
I'd like to ask that you post below with topics you'd like to see... I'll research, go to the place, try the product or even post your experience. Let's make this fun!

SeneGence has been around for years. A friend sells it and was posting to FB and I became intrigued. I sent her a message and bought my first LipSense in the color Pomegranate. A few days later I joined her team and here we are! I how have a stock of products. The lipstick is awesome! It truly lasts all day. I hope to film myself (remember I'm trying to get out of my comfort zone) in the near future, and post for everyone to see. It doesn't get on your glass when you drink, no need to put a tissue between your lips to dab, and it doesn't run in those dang creases! There are 36 colors., (see below) and you can choose between Glossy Gloss or Matte Gloss for the finish. Since is literally will not come off, Oops Cleaner is necessary. All 3 sell for $55.00 plus tax, S&H. Once you get the kit, you can use the gloss and cleaner with other colors. Additional colors are $25.00. You may be thinking WOW, that seems expensive, but I challenge you to reply with the number of lipstick tubes you have in a drawer that you've used once. Lipsense has a money back guarantee. If you do not like it, return it for a refund. I will say, so far, no one has returned, they have bought additional colors! SeneGence also has other skin care products for Acne Prone, Oily or Dry skin types.
