For the first time EVER, I'm sharing my Banana Pudding Recipe. I can not even count how many times I have made this recipe. I actually do not even follow this recipe exactly.....I just get the ingredients I can remember and make it happen.
Ingredients
- 2 cup (1 pint) heavy cream, whipped (I use a small tub of cool whip...who has time for cream!)
- 1 1/2 cup cold water (yes cold, but no ice cubes)
- 1 (14 oz.) can Eagle Brand® Sweetened Condensed Milk
- 1 (4-serving size) package instant vanilla pudding mix
- 3 medium bananas, sliced and dipped in lemon juice (I use twice the bananas, so 6 instead of 3)
- 36 vanilla wafers (crush the wafers with a mallet)
Instructions
- Whisk sweetened condensed milk and water in large bowl. Add pudding mix. Whisk 2 minutes or until well blended. Chill 5 minutes. Fold in whipped cream (or cool whip!).
- SPOON 1 cup pudding mixture into 2 1/2-quart glass serving bowl. Top with one-third each of the vanilla wafers, bananas and remaining pudding. Repeat layering twice, ending with pudding mixture. (I end with vanilla crushed vanilla wafers around the bowls edge and a couple banana slices in the center.
- CHILL thoroughly. Garnish as desired.
- For individual pudding desserts, prepare mixture and layer in dessert disheserving
BEFORE YOU READ THE CALORIES, CONSIDER THIS:
Substitute Light cool whip, low fat eagle branch milk, sugar free pudding and low fat cookies....It really does taste the same....if you've been able to sample it before, you have no idea which way I chose to make it what day. :-)
